Colours

Postby RUDDY » 02 Jan 2010 17:54

Spare time on my hands over Xmas, started looking at various TR7 books and brochures. Got me thinking of eventual colours for my resto/new shell.

Original plan is/had been to stay Java green with green trim but I could be swayed by either of the options below, currently option 3 is favourite [?]

Just wondered what your opinions are or nice pics of the colour choices.

1. Java - Green check trim
2. Red - Red check trim
3. White - Red check trim

All the best, Paul

[8D] Looks quite nice ...

... but for a FHC I'd go for Inca Yellow with red check trim.

The wedge looks good in pearly white.

Out of the three I would choose Red with Red check trim (actually I would choose black trim never being a fan of plaid). The question is...one of the original reds or one of the thousand variations of them?

paul,

Out of the three Java Green first and second Red or failing that White but in the sprint rally colours.

Hope this helps

Jim

For a fixed head there's only one choice - INCA YELLOW! - & it has to be with a classic green check interior. Just my own personal biased view. [:D]

Hi Andy, i do like the Inca Yelloe with Green/Check interior, keep thinking one day, i might do my interior the same instead of blue/check, theblue is fine but do like the green/check better.

Hiya.

Colour choice is a very personal thing. . . . .

If I were doing a FHC from scratch, then I have to agree with Beans, Yellow. My second choice would be red, followed by Java.

My red one:

I really like Java green as a traditional colour, with natually green check......but since this car is no longer original, why not spice things up a tad and go with a dark forest green mettallic????

If you are leaning towards red, I'd forgo the bright red, and do the coupe with a dark/black cherry red metallic and red plaid seats [8]

Ron.

That would be Poseidon Green Mettalic, available from 1979 and on.

Personal choice of course but I intend to change my car back from a dark metallic green to it's original French Blue as soon as funds allow. The green (like all dark colours)shows dirt like nobody's business and that drives me crazy!
(Go with the java!)

Cheers,
Rich

If purchasing from new I think this dark red would be best, doesn't show the rust too bad [:D]

I always wanted a silver 7 and nowadays i find it one of the better colors also for poseidon green and aquablue.
only the trim must be black or tan, now i have blue not my first choice.
