When I picked my son up from the airport, last week, I took the 8, &
almost went topless. The forcast, & the weather radar showed the
odd shower, so I put the hood up. I almost may not have bothered.
In that 160Km round trip, the car saw more rain than it has in the
last 4 years.
The hood is Mohair, & has seen little sun, or rain, but watertight
it is not. After an hour of constant heavy rain it was as
watertight as the average sieve.
It was leaking at some seams, but was so saturated in many places,
the water was oozing through.
I have never been rich enough to own a Mohair hood before, mine have
always been vinyl, so I have no idea of what to do about it.
Don't take it out in the rain is probably the best advice, but there
must be a waterfroof treatment for the thing. Would those of you
with the necessary experience please advise.

PS. Although the forcast was for ocasional showers, the whole
district got between 2 & 4 inches, & these dills expect us to
believe they can forcast the temperature in 50, & 100 years. Yes,
pull the other one mate, it yodels.
