Are there any coilover kits available for the TR7?

Depends what you want to spent (and really need) and what adaptions you accept to make to the body to accomodate the rears ...

One off built by a fairly reputed Dutch firm (AST), not cheap but very good.
But they have the measuremets now ...

Still haven't had time to adjust the rear suspension towers to fit the rear coil overs [B)]

Thanks for the leads. I know there are kits available to convert existing struts too, so I'll be looking into all the options.

Surely the front struts are 'coil-overs' already? And I can't see any advantage changing the rear system - which has coils and dampers already mounted specifically where the body has been strengthened to take them. Why would combining the spring and damper into one unit - be any better?

Coilovers would give me an adjustable ride height and 'tuneable' suspension[:)]

Wider range of available springs to chose from ...

Stiffening up the rear suspension towers might be necessary.
But they are pretty well engineered as they are ...

Haven't done any welding yet, not even fitted the rears.
Plan is to put them under the car (when the DHC is ready) and drive it for a bit to see how they behave.

Any strengthening that might be necessary will be carried out when â€˜t Krengâ€™s body shell will be stiffened up somewhere in the future
