Spotted these on Ebay. Has anybody tried them to see if they fit OK? Mine are still in place, but could do with a spare set just in case. As far as I know OE parts are unavailable, these are the first reproduction ones i've seen.

I have them on my TR7. Difficult to figure out the fit as I had never had any before. Work well once installed.

Made my own using originals as templates. Even if you don't have originals, not rocket science.

These have been reproduced by a guy called Wayne Simpson who subscribes to the TR8 list. I have bought a couple of sets, they work well.

Originals were glued to the air scoop & press up against the bulkhead when you clip the scoop in place. I haven't glued mine, just pressed them into place - bit fiddly but once in place they stay put. You get instructions from Wayne in case you have no idea where they fit!

As FI Spyder says, simple to make if you have a template, just two cut outs of suitable foam glued together.

While im working on the engine bay and the air scoop is off etc, think i might just try and make my own also, im sure i have a smilar foam in my garage somewhere, and when i looked at mine when i took the scoop off, it 30 years had takent there toll and had all but completely perished, so i'll have a go and see what happens.

I bought my DHC when it was 6 years old and I don't remember seeing these.

When Grinnal restored the bodywork all the removed misc parts were replaced from a pool of other 7's bits. I got someone else's rough air scoop and I never saw these seals either.
