Birthday Treat
Posted: 20 Oct 2009 17:21
I received a surprise birthday treat on Monday.
I had to move two cars from the ferry parking lot with only one driver, me. So I enlisted the aid of a friend to drive one car to my house, and then I'd give him a ride home.
The choice of cars was either my 1966 Corvair Coupe, a 4-speed, or my '80 Spider. Driving the Corvair is an acquired art so I reluctantly gave him the Spider and started off.
I found, however, that I had a delight in store as I looked up at the rear view mirror. There I could view my TR-7 from its best angle, the front, as it wound down the twisty road. I live in a place where I never see another TR-7; indeed, I live in a state where it's unusual to see a TR-7 at all, from any angle. I could not have been happier to have been in another car just to watch the beauty of a wedge under way.
As a forum member noted in an earlier post, our TR-7's are stunning cars. Mine gave me quite a birthday treat.
