Always liked open top driving in the autumn.

On days like this I regret that my DHC is still not finished.
At least it should now be ready for next spring.

Can't even get the top down today in Maine. It's too cold for the vinyl to bend . And the sun hasn't shone in several days.

The Downs look terrific - great ride. I just might have to take mine out tomorrow as a birthday present to myself.

Ah lovely photo's and agree i love autumn driving even though this weekend it was in the FHC

with that in mind i cruised Southampton City centre this weekend and ports down hill.

And watched the people gawp and stare and the younger one's shout "nice car mate" The Biker's on the hill were all of the older generation. so just looked and stared in amazment that it was still running lol, one guy said you don't see many of those.

To my obvious reply you're right, most have rotted away [:D] after all the obvious banter they left me with the thought of how cool they now look.

driving back you can see other drivers either bewildered of what the car is or nudging up a little closer to get a closer look.

All that and the actual feel of driving the car put's one heck of a grin on my face somehow i don't get that feeling from a new car [8D]

It looks like you had a lot nicer day than we had here. The Portland Triumph Owners had a tour today and I drove the 30 some odd miles out to meet them. I couldn't actually go on the tour because I'm working 8pm to 8am and needed some sleep. This tour was the 18th annual Camp 18 Tour on the 18th. Camp 18 is a Resturant/tourist trap 18 miles from the coast, good big food though. The fall colors are in full swing especially at the higher elevations. It was a bit foggy/drizzly but still a nice drive. When I left to go home and sleep they had 18 Triumphs including two TR8s. Would have been 3 TR8s with mine but that would have spoiled the 18, 18, 18 thing. I ran out of fuel on the way home so I had to dump my 1.5 gallon can in and drive the last 15 miles home. The tank should be empty enough to mess with the fuel sender now. Sad though that it was probably my last drive in it until spring.
