Happy/Sad

Finding somebody who would build me a new airconditioning pipe = happy

Dismantling dash to get old pipe out with sore back = sad

Finding someone to relay my headlights = happy

Having to delay relaying of headlights because fittings on new air con pipe wouldn't fit = sad

Getting new pipe, fitting it, reassembling dash & checking and cleaning all electrical connections = happy nothwithstanding back

Having everything electrical work better than before = happy

Driving home tonight after air cond re-gas with cool air = happy

Sudden flicker of headlights accompanied by burning plastic smell later on said drive = sad.

I think I'll leave Mr auto electrician guru to it and hope he can restore some enduring happiness!

The guru has worked his magic and I'm back in the game, with a new switch, relays, nice hella halogens & a few bits and bobs of untidy wiring sorted. My guru was surpised and relieved that the headlight lift mechanism did not require his attention. He tells me he had many a fruatrating encounter with TR7 headlights in his apprentiship - perhaps they almost drove him flipping mad [:o)]
