update first 10 miles on the clock

Thank god one step closer,to recap, ok about a month / half ago i lost my premises, my friend has busy garage and has done the slowest mot [;)] ever ie free storage, any way i am now settled at new place in Dudley
my car he put it through mot this week ( oh, thanks again to Red for the seat i'll be in contact to get it back to you shortly) no problems with test, light alignment all that was required. So i have just collected it drove it the 10 miles back looking like an idiot with huge grin on my face.[:D] no tax dont tell anyone post ofice was closed !!! its like an old friend coming back apart from being really dusty i love it!
so jobs to complete fit centre console, refurbed steering wheel and seats, get new roof fitted, clean and polish body for new graphics recomission aircon
in the meantime please see pictures just taken excuse it not being sparkling wanted to take some before rain starts. looking forward to getting some miles on it hoefully good weather september october

Totally agree should be on the TR Drivers stand at the NEC in November. Should we book your car in but remember the car needs to be there on thursday afternoon till close on sunday.
Looks good and you've got the carpet material spot on.

its the original 1 piece moulded carpet, remember it was LHD and had a nice big piece of rubber protecting it, just plenty of elbow grease
required to bring it back to life. Picture before i started

That looks fantastic and I like the gold passivated zinc plate on the bonnet catch and other brackets, it goes well with the colour of the car.
Your long hours of work have really paid off. Congratulations!

the zinc passivate is relativly cheap to do, just finding someone you trust. i have a great company in wolverhampton to do it for me.If anyone wants the number get back to me and i'll dig it out.

Outstanding work. That carpet job is unbelievable. When I first saw the photo I wanted to ask where you got new molded carpet? I never would have thought it to be used.

Looks fantasic in black! Is that an original colour? Don't think I seen a black one before. What did you do to the engine? Clearly not standard!

as spider model californian spec, standard colour is maraschino black, engine standard 2.0l with fuel injection the flywheel has been lightened and balanced, the only deviation from standard is a 4 branch manifold.

nice looking car, hope mine ends up looking half as good as that, my work stalled at mo due to change in work hours all mid shifts so no time in morning or evening to work on car, and with no garage at mercy of the weather on weekends.... love the colour...
