I think you'll find the TR7 is a largely untapped market by the Register and being a limited company they need to keep the membership numbers up as much as possible. Trouble is, the only place they can really expect to get members from is the TRDC and most of us like that club too much to jump ship.

From their Magazine I take it several of their board members and staff run Wedges...?

The register have tried very hard to include the TR7 but whilst it's members are still living in the past at local level there will be many turned up noses at events.
I'll enjoy both clubs until ultimatly for all clubs to give a service and be worthwhile they all eventually join together.

In the 5 years I have been in the New Zealand TR Register I have noticed a change.
They now have a good range of 7 spares whilst 5 years ago they perhaps had 7 items.
They also have someone very keen on the committee who is chasing all leads on where TR7's lie and their commission numbers.
All in all a huge change from 5 years ago.
We have no TRDC in NZ but there is a general Triumph club.

Nice car, I saw it last week at Knebworth and it generated a lot of interest.
The TR Regsiter hosted a TR7 / TR8 Marque Day at the Knebowth Classic Motor Show and had a great turnout - we all got a nice windscreen sticker as wel to commemorate it.
The TR Register's general manager runs a TR7 Spront as his daily driver so can certainly say he's "one of us" as it were.

Saw a new magazine for me the other day, TR Action. It had a great article about pulling the TR7 head. They built a copy of a Saab tool designed just for this purpose.
