who carries braided stainless steel clutch hoses?

Postby silverseven » 01 Sep 2009 01:39

ok, I want (need) to get my car back on the road......

The clutch slave let go last fall (ironically the day it was scheduled for storage) One thing led to another this year, and basically things just didn't get done.........but I'm now starting to itch to get the car back.....

I've sent a few emails to Ted at tsimported, but have yet to receive a reply [V][V][V][V][V][V]................

is there anybody else out there that stocks these other than TSI???

While were on the subject of slaves, and masters.....I've got some crazy estimates for them too .....I'm almost tempted to give VB a shot with one of their 150.00 $ three in one kits.....(and basically just toss the plastic hose, if I can find one of those stronger stainless ones.......

Any manufactures I should avoid when buying a master and slave cylinder????

Hi,

Brake specialists can make them up for you, some can crimp the stainless braid onto the existing steel tubes from your original clutch hose.

Go see a company who relines brake shoes, clutches and makes brake hoses.

This worked for me.

I got the kit from VB for $150. It included new Slave and Master and a stainless steel hose. For once everything fit and seems to work great. I filled it with silicon fliud, the pedal feels great.

Check out British Parts Northwest as they tend to have slightly better prices.

You can order off their website.

I bought a master clutch after market one and it works fine.

I got one from S&S, about £30 IIRC so probably cheaper for you even with postage across the pond!
