My headlights find it hard enough following instructions. I'm not about to let them think for themselves. [:D]

Never say die. At least not while you're still breathing.

I built a similar function (to get our compulsory daylight driving lights without raising the [UGLY!] pods)
into the fog light circuit myself when I rebuilt the car.
All this was done without any fancy electronics that eventually will go wild...

It's just a case of some relays, the original switches and pure logics:
Engine on? = Front fogs ON and Outer rear (LED)lights ON.
Parking light on? = Front fogs OFF and All four rear (LED)lights ON.
Dipped front lights on? = Front fogs OFF and All four rear (LED)lights ON.
Main (High beam) lights on? = Front fogs ON and All four rear (LED)lights ON.
Engine off? = Everything reverts back to Parking (all LED!) lights ON only.
Or to
Nothing if only automatic driving lights were the selected operation prior to shutting the engine down...

Piece of cake, really...
