MMM shiny new bits

[:)] Picked up my new gearbox today.I am including a picture of it if someone could confirm its the correct one? I am pretty sure just it cost so much don't want any surprises!

Dont forget to check the remote bushes and rear mounting rubber.

John, just the man I wanted[:D].Could you tell me where these remote bushes are? and if poss where I can get some? I have followed your advice and already purchased a gearbox rubber mount.I am in the process of collecting the bits at the moment as I was overuled by 'im indoors and the bairns about this weekends activities.They wanna go camping so no car for me[:(].I will have to wait to smother myself in oil[:0] .Thanks both for the thumbs up on my purchase.

Steph...
I think the Remote Bushes are eight rubber washers
available from S&S. Two Bushes \ four per bush.
Mine failed on Sunday, but the RAC made us something
up to get us home! Crossness IS NOT the place to
break down on a hot day, believe me!

Do a search on this website or go to jclay's website. He has excellent pictures of them installed. I got a set on ebay from someone who made white poly with SS inserts in Saskatchewan but you can get the black poly in UK.

They look very different when your nose is only inches from the remote housing.[B)]

Don't forget to use the metal sleeves in the center of the washers!!

and make sure that the metal sleeves pass cleanly through the rubber bushes without "pinching" them. Extra gearbox whine can result- it happened to me.
I had to replace the bushes from underneath the car, there wasn't a lot of room for essential items like fingers and spanners. It must be a breeze with the remote housing on the bench........
