All change on the wheels front...

Took a trip to Eastbourne (280 mile round trip!) last night to collect my new wheels.

They're not gonna bolt straight on, so I'll be needing a huge set of adaptors. I need to mock up a wheel to work out the final look; if they nearly fill the stock arches with an inch spacer/adaptor, then that's what they'll do, but I'm liking the idea of filling a set of works style arches with my new 7" x 15" Porsche ATS cookie cutters [8D]

They need a refurb, but I don't think it's ever been done before - should confuse a few people at the traffic lights! Besides, my current MGF 'minilites' are so last year...[^]

I'm hoping I'll have time to start fiddling at the weekend.

That's the ones! I've not decided on the finish yet, but I'm swinging towards polished rims with black metalflake centres...

In my experience with 15x7s you will want 5mm less offset than standard (25mm) on the rear or the arch will rub on the tyre walls. On the front the offset must be at least 25mm to keep it away from the strut.

They will look nice though.

Sorry: I should qualify the above by adding this is with 205/50s

Never say die. At least not while you're still breathing.

I'll hopefully start measuring up this weekend, so we'll see what I can get away with; I'm planning on running 205/50's on the back (as I do at present), but maybe only 195/50's on the front.
