Perfect Day - Almost

Hi,

It's always good to get out in the sunshine in a 7DHC.

It was 30 degrees C this afternoon and no work today.[8D] It would have been rude not to take my son out in the 7V8 and set off through some winding Hertfordshire roads just outside North West London.[:D]

V8 burbling and rasping where safe to do so and then stopped off for a non alcoholic pub lunch.[:p] Oh yes, a British V8 ragtop on a country road in the UK with the sun shining, it doesn't get much better. On the way back I had to convince my son (who's just passed his driving test) that it wasn't a good idea for him to start heel and toeing when changing down through the gears.[;)] Where did he get that idea from?

Just as we reached home, the fuel gauge was all over the place,[:0] so I'll be looking at the sender connections in the next day or so.

Cheers,

Adam

Hi Howard,

You're not wrong there. As per Forest Gump, "Bushey is, as Bushey does".

I'm within a mile or so from a chap called Stuart who's group co-ordinator for the TR Drivers Club. Some years ago I went to a few group meetings close to Hemel Hempstead but then my eratic work pattern got in the way.

I remember looking at a BRG tan check Grinnal converted 2+2 in St Albans back in the 80's. A dealer was selling it, possibly Churchfields. Any connection?

Hopefully we'll sort something before the summer's out.........

Cheers,

Adam

[:D][:0]Cracking-this is the first confirmed sighting of this cars early years. I have the records and it was with Churchfields Oct. 1986, -then oddly the next owner is not registered until April 1987 a six month gap so it may have moved around in the trade or been stored over winter until the following spring. Only one more owner for a very short time and then me from May 1987.
Super chance result!![^]
