Oh dear,
Another website having a much prejudiced pop at our cars again and singling out the Inca Yellows amongst us. (Is the featured car owned by one of us? The number plate looks familiar)
A pointless exercise as they also included the Daimler Dart SP250 and the Morgan Aero 8.

Amazes me that people actually make a living at this stuff. Like the worst dressed list & the like. This is like telling someone thier wife or children are ugly....maybe worse in some cases.[;)]

Everyone seems to loves the MGB, though if you wanted to knock it(i'm not going to, becuase I strangely like the rubber bumper ones, esp the gt.), this would be very easy (pushrod engine, cart springs, mundane styling, slow and poor handling etc etc)
The Tr6 might be the quicker, but the styling isn't there (it's a box with rounded off corners - sorry) and also the GT6 has to be a much more exciting car.
So, although it is an odd way of justifying someting - the TR7 rocks. Unfortunatley there are a lot of people out there that like mundane cars - no-one knocks ford mondeos with the same passion but they really are a creeping menace which will bring down western civilisation - honest

Pretty much the same old list again.
Edsel, AMC Pacer, Allegro, TR7 et al.
Only 'newcomer' is the Aston...
At least it's publicity, and hey, we LIKE being the underdogs!

For an "ugly" car mine sure gets a lot of compliments including today when I took it out to get gas topped up for big trip tomorrow. An English fellow who said he never seen one like it before and I told him that's because it's a North American special edition.

Several weeks ago I was also filling up at the pump and was approached by a relocated English gent. He was quite curious saying he just wanted to look at the car. For once, someone that actually knew what a TR8 is!![:D]
I have had a LOT of comments about the car. Not one person has called it ugly. Neat car, sounds awesome, beautiful paint job ect. None of this "that's ugly". And I don't believe I'm being patronized either.

Here here, these people who write these sort of comments, usually are the ones who jump on the bandwagon of old, each person has different tastes, i dont particulary like alot of these modern Eurobox cars, but i wouldnt critisise someone for having one unless thet said my TR7 looked ugly then i might [:D]

The car may be a lot of things but ugly it ain't.If the people that wrote this are happy in their comfortable pigeon holed world all driving euro boxs, wearing the same clothes, seeing the same films and writing/reading the same drivel then all the more fun for us enlightened non conformists[:)].I am going for a lie down now[:(!]

The fact is that the TR7 is a head turner, and not for it´s ugliness!

It's only a matter of time before somebody asks "what type of Ferrari is that?" when you pull up in your TR7. This will happen a lot sooner if it's painted red & has no decals but once it does the opinions of those who know only what they've read somewhere else will never matter anymore - as if they ever did.
