I actually owned a Marina many years ago. It was while I was doing up the GT6 & I needed a cheap car to keep me off the buses. I still remember a day when I reversed into a fence post that had leapt into my path. I got out to have a look but only to make sure the post was OK.

An ol' mate of mine inherited a beige Marina form his gran, he is a mad Fiat enthusiast and strangely enough his Fiat died of a terminal tin worm infestation. [xx(] So as needs must, he took to driving the Marina. He hated that car so much that he threw a party to celebrate the car was liberaced to death! It was very theraputic to have a car I could treat with such disregard while I was pouring money into another Triumph. I was also a member of the Marina Club. This is a great club. It costs nothing to join, there is no newsletter or magazine. They don't even have club meetings but whenever you saw another poor soul in a Marina there was a tangible & heartfelt bond between the 2 drivers that was plaintively acknowledged by them both looking the other way.

On another note, I'm sure even Liberace would've felt embarrassed to be caught getting out of the back of a Marina.
