Hazard and turn signals use different units. Turn signal unit may be faulty, bad connection in horn/turn/dip switch.

Hazard flasher unit is by the fuse panel.
Indicator flasher is up under the dash on the door side.

The flasher unit has a reputation for flashing v slowly or not at all and is often replaced by an electronic flasher available from Halfords. The unit is the same size and only modification required is an additional earth connection.

There is no unit under the dash, just 2 loose connections.
