The stripes were on the car when I bought it. They fit the various curves on the body so well (notice the curved end at the front wheel well) I wouldn't have thought they were generic. I bought the car in Perth WA so perhaps they were a dealer option on this side of the pond?

Having said that, what's with the American Indian Chief's head??? Bizarre.

The car will be going gunmetal grey (engine bay already done prior to V8 conversion) so these photos will probably be the only evidence of one of the odder striping options available on a Tr7.

As no one else has posted any the same, these are 100+ rimtech's (probably) $120 on ebay. Desparatly in need of a refurb, I want to repolish the lips and paint the centers a darker gray, but for now they clear the brakes and go round and round.

Hi,

Fitted with the 17 inch gave a very bumpy ride due to the 35 profile of the tyres, personally prefer the ride of the 14 inch wheels

I'm with you on those 17" wheels John.

I found our cars don't like too low a profile tyre.

After all these very low profile things didn't exist when our suspension was designed, so it was meant to have a large tyre bag as part of the whole set up.

I also think the 17 "are very hard to drive the maximum for me are 16" ... probably 15 "are 50 years of age the best :-)

Bit of a thread revival here but really a question for "frankman" in Switzerland as I've had zero success whenever I've tried to contact anyone via the email system on here.

Frank, do you still have details on the Azev 17" wheels you mentioned and would they still be available?

Thanks.

Hi,

My Avez came of a MGF, i worked as a MGF technician at a Rover dealership. We could only sell second MGF's in standard or with factory supplied accessories fitted.I had to fit standard wheels back on this particular car, as the sales manager owed me a favour or two, i asked if they were for sale? His reply was have them for nothing [:D] Fitted them but to be honest didnt like them alot so stuck them in the loft! must admit never seen another 'F' with them on.

John

Do you still have them in your loft?

If so, would you part with them to fit to my MGF?

Shod with falkens which completely transformed the car. could do with being an inch lower but purely for cosmetic reasons, she handles pretty well as it is!
