Here's the response David Duthie and I got from ABFM rep Bill Martin. Bill has encouraged us and challenged us:

"Ken, David, PTOA Board, Michael, Cubby, Annette, Bobby, Roy,

This year we had a combined 23 TR7s and 8s registered for the ABFM. Needless to say, I believe this is one of the largest totals for these models in quite a few years.

We would be happy to propose the splitting of these two models into separate categories for next year's ABFM. In the past, the threshold has been to have 5 or more of a specific model registered for that model to receive its own category. Be aware, however, that failure to maintain that amount (or close) could cause the two models to be combined again. So, continued participation is encouraged.

Our next ABFM Committee meeting should be in late October or November. Let Michael and me know what you think.

Thanks,
Bill Martin"
