Hey Cale, what did you do to the photo? The car is not that colour but I kind of like it. Very understated. The wild lines of the TR7 lends itself to understated colours as a conter balance.

These are advertised on Pistonheads classifieds and should fit a TR7/8. Seem cheap too.

Maestro Turbo wheels shod with 195/50/15 Toyo T1-R tyres. I haven't used them that much so haven't been able to compare them seriously with the 14" 60 profile I've used for the last couple of years.

Not to everyone's taste I reckon but they were ridiculously cheap on Ebay last year. The seller was restoring a MG Montego and bought a Maestro turbo as a parts car. They were listed as "Alloy Wheels" so received no interest.

Given this, you will find that 195/50s will be very grippy and the steering will be much more precise. When I went from 185/70x13 to 195/50x15, the car was transformed! I now run 205/50x15 to keep nearer to the proper rolling radius and to fill out the arches a bit more.

Wow...these wheels are ace, but can't afford new ones. Just a question about getting a refurb on the original alloys and doing the powder coating. Have priced this up at £45 per wheel, this is with a gold colour (2 types available but neither are exact to the original Premium gold.) Do you think that refurbing the wheels would actually decrease the originality/value although they would look better? Also, as the centre bits are dented, should I try to get these replaced first? Ideas? Debs X

Refurbing the wheel to a different shade of gold will not affect the value of th car (until they get into the $100,000 area, not for a few years). It would be a shame to spend that amount of money on refurbing and then having bent centers. Replace them.

Are you refering to the centre caps (UKC6877)
If so, they are still available new, and not that expensive.

14 inch Superlites... and I like what the factory tried too, factory alloys painted black with polished rims. A bit too modern and "boy" racer for my tastes but I've grown to like them.
