crikey simon mate hope your recovery is speedy nad by the sounds of it your doing well hope to talk to you soon ( well is some ways i don't cus that'll mean i need to spend some money [:D]

Only just logged on for the first time since well before xmas. Just bought a hi torque starter and various other bits & pieces from the guys. Excellent service as usual.

Thanks again for all the replies and good wishes.I have passed them onto Simon.

He is pretty much back to his old self now, looks like there are no lasting effects from the stroke, which is great news.He's up and about on crutches and has to keep any weight of the damaged ankle for the next few weeks.Had it not been for the ankle he would probably be home by now.

He is a very lucky man. I hope he listens to his doctor & does his best to avoid the next stroke.

My Father's side of the family has been subject to more strokes than a petting zoo. Having seen what permanent damage it can do, I wouldn't wish it on a dog.

Even as an Ozie, I know a bit about S&S, so I'm glad to hear the
news.

However, surely he could have just taken a few days off, instead of
bunging on such a commotion, to get a rest.
