hey, just an idea,

why don't you replace the connector for something modern & waterproof.

the only issue is if you want to keep the car "original".

every time you clean a connector it will rust again in couple of weeks ,

these cost only couple of dollars, and once you replace them you can forget about cleaning the connectors.

i know that meddling with the wires can be pain in the ass , but look at it as a long term fix.

especially for those connectors exposed to the elements

Yes Marko, connectors have come a long way. The ones in a TR7/8 are much better than the old bullet connectors in my MGB but not as good as what is used today.

My 00 Harley has the new generation of sealed connectors. I believe better connectors and the use of locktight are major reasons for the turnaround of Harley Davidson. Electrical systems work reliably and bolts don't fall out.[;)] Plus advancements in sealing technology stoped the oil leaks. An example of new technology rescueing an old design.
