Thanks for all of your replies. I was thinking a shade of green similar to the number 16 race car in Beans's post. Especially the hood of that car, which seems to be darker. Actually I really like that car and the number 10 car in his post. What is that #10??

There are very few cars painted with solid green. But there have been enough of them over the decades to choose a Jag or Aston Martin color right off the chart.

Looks like a '60 or '61 Lotus Elite. Very nice car!

I think you will find that No 10 is a Lotus elite (or Lotus Type 14).

As regards BRG I'd agree there isn't a specific single colour but to me it has always been a very dark green, almost black - much darker than the Brooklands green which is fairly common on 7's. Incidentally on the point of decals on a Brooklands green car mine has gold decals but I have no way of knowing if that was how it left the factory

As has been said prev. BRG is not a specific colour and harkens back to the old racing days when the std. country racing colour `green` became tagged with some bad results on the track and so the colour became darker to almost black-green, of which there have been endless variations!
In the 80/90`s I recall Jaguar(?) came up with `Metallic BRG` as a nod to heritage I suppose. The difference between this and Triumph Poseiden Green is hard to see-I quite like it[;)]
