Sorry for the delays, I've been working late doing some O.T. at the shop, plus the wife and daughter have been busy with the two pc's with homework projects, so not much surf time for me......

Thanks Johnny for taking care of deleting the posts!!

Hum? The difference between the first two forum areas? Well, the 1st one on General Wedge Chit-chat is just that. General topics about the cars not specifically doing with the engines. i.e., headlights that don't work, dash lights, horns, shocks, body work and interior. You know, the stuff that plague all TR7/8s.

The second topic is about cars with the 2 liter engines, but not Sprints.

Jclay,

I know the difference [;)], but many other users do not! It isn't very clear and as a result, we often have non-engine related questions in the "TR7" forum.

And for that mater, often times, members with TR8s post non-engine related questions in "TR8 (or TR7 V8)" forum.

We need to clearly define 2nd through 6th forums as being ENGINE related forums! And mods should re-enforce this by moving the threads posted in the wrong forum.

And while we are at it, V6 forum should be merged back to the Variant forum... We do not need two forums on a similar subject with virtually no activity! Someday they will see the light [^].

Is that the definition?
I had always assumed (never having seen anything in writing) that the General Wedgie Chit Chat was for natter about people, places, things, events reports etc (OK, I know there is an Events forum too), and that the TR7 forum was for any TECHNICAL queries and discussion, be it engines, brakes, electrics or whatever, majoring on cars with the 2.0l engine (as in the byline) as the V8 crowd have their own forum.

And you are not alone! But that is why we have "General Chat" sub-forum under "Not so Wedgelike".

Like I said earlier, a clarification is definitley in order! Thank you for helping me make my point, Alan! [;)]

ok here's my take;

-General wedgie is for basic/general or open "wedge" related topics
-TR7/TR8/Sprint sections are for more specific questions (but not just engine related)
-variants could be all merged to one if you really wa to be fussy(but the idea was good, if you don't try- you'll never know, eh!
perhaps ....just not enough traffic)
-Events is prettty much self explanitory [;)] & a very good tool....
-General non-wedge related is for anything off-topic/pub
-Classified
-Spotted ....kinda trivial, but why not! , please post pics [;)][:D]

Ron.

We are used to it, so why don't we just leave it alone.

Because you and Ron just presented two different "takes" on what content should be in different forums.

Frankly, I do not really care which interpretation we adapt (though, I agree with Jclay's), but we really should eliminate this ambiguity...

And what are we talking about here? Changing the text under the forum name? It should take less than 10 min to perform.

Couldn't agree more Gaz. I have always used my interpretation posting but read anything in either of the TR7 forums and never particuarly think about whether its posted in the right place.

Not a big deal with me. I see Wedge General as anything TR7 related that is not mechanical whereas TR7 is for the more technical/mechanical posts. Doesn't bother me if someone mixes them up as I read both anyways.

Why is it on every forum I post on, I miss the porn spam?
