Hi,
Whilst you have the shoes off check the handbrake linkage in side the drum have habbit of seizing up, also make sure the cable pivot point on the axle is free to move.
The only problem you will have, hopefully, doing the wheel cylinder is the clip that holds it on, they can try your paitence a little [V] not to mention your fingers [B)] and eye sight when it make a break for freedon into the dark corners of your garage!! Would give your brake pipes a good spray with penertrating oil for a few days as well.
If you have never done rear brakes on 'our' cars then this link will be real handy, written by our own JCLAY (i hope you dont mind the link) also feature changing your hood cover.

Good Luck,
Cheers John

Hiya,
Yes I did mean you , but maybe we could kidnap Jclay anyway (but maybe we wouldn't need to, I bet he would love to come over just for the fun of it!?) I wonder if he knows we're talking about him?

Kidnap?

You got Root Beer? I quite fancy some fish n chips! With a little malt Vinegar! I promise to come peacefully!

Actually, my ancestors were English, moved to the Grand Caymans and founded Boddentown. On my mother's side, my Grandfather was a schooner captain. My grandmother was a beautiful young Cuban girl.

On my fathers side, his father was Scottish and my grandmother was Irish. I was born right here in Houston, four days before the Texas City Disaster.

Hiya Jane,
Yeah she's here now & runs beautifully. It's quite funny as the saga went with everyones help on here from all over the world-then it ends up being a wire! Typical. (Hope to see you soon)
jclay, so sorry they still don't do root beer here. I came over
from California in 1984 and they didn't even do shopping malls, taco dinner kits, or peanut m&m's then. But we have got Dr Pepper????
Nervousnewowners thread is going off in all sorts of weird directions eh?

Hiya, We are real new on here & we've got some "flaming" topics.
I'm gonna get in touch with jclay about the "care" package and will let you know if we can make it to Shepton Mallett (really far but we're on holiday so maybe can do an overnight stay if we get our son & ferret homed for a couple of days).

You can get root beer - some Asdas do 6 packs of Carter's (a British brand owned by Cott's) and some Sainsbury's do it in 2 litre bottles (own brand, but probably the same stuff - Cott's do much of the supermarket own brand soft drinks). There are people who import it too.
