Haven't heard back from him on mirror type. The paint is original and when he pulled the engine/trans (which I got as spares) he power washed the engine compartment and as you can see looks like new. He painted the rims of the instruments with something (I forget what kind of paint) so that at night with lights on it looks like the rims are back lit. I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of it, it looked real cool. The car is a California car he got from Oregon/Washington.
