Looks like 13 or 14 Wedges registered now. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Yep, I count 14, 10 TR8s and 4 TR7s. Two of the 7s are Spiders.

Looks like Merv is coming around to making the trip, Bills waiting on his passport (doesn't look good). There is always local Wedges that show up and register at the show. This is the most I've seen preregister, we may see as many as 20 at the show in total. We plan on camping this year should bring a Wedge shape tent.
Ok I've got to pull my drive train out of the car to clean it up, and change the clutch. See you at the show.

Well, all of these wedges turning up. I had no idea. Mine is very lonely in Bend, OR and is asking to go. Maybe I should make the trip. It would be my first. Unfortunately she is not exactly show quality.

Hi Ken, My son and I are coming down from Vancouver Island, surely you can make it up I5. It's not about car quality, it's about have a fun weekend, watching the racing and checking out all the cars. Plus you can learn alot from car crazy guys, it's like the forum but face to face.
Come on down and bring a tent.

Hey Nick, come on up! Mine isn't show quality either. It looks better than it did last year on the outside but the inside is still a mess. I still don't have a top, hopefully it'll be a lot drier this year than it was last year. Regardless of the weather it is always a good time.

Nick,
As Ron says, it's not about show quality. Mine still has its original crazed paint, and covers over the doggy seats.

Jim,
Your car looks terrific. I'm heading for the airport in the morning. Hope my car starts when I get to Portland!

If you couldn't go for the entire meet, which day would be best? Sat or Sun?

That depends on what you like. Saturday would be my choice. It is the day of the actual show with the cars all lined up on the field. Sunday is mostly about the swap meet, if you need parts that is the day to go.

Just to show what the others have reiterated, here is a picture of a Spitfire rat rod that made Spitfire owners cringe and others smile. There was also a just restored TR8 that could have been done better (didn't paint the engine bay) that would have made Beans cry at it's short comings. Note Jim's TR8 in the background and I believe Ken's TR8 then my Spider behind that.

I arrived in Portland late this afternoon. Hooked up the battery, and she fired right up. Checked the gas, filled the tires, put the top down, and went for a drive. Hope this weather holds for about 10 days!

Nick, come for the show on Saturday. Plan to come early, though, and stay all day for the races and dinner.

That would be great, The current forecast is for 75 and partly cloudy Saturday. We all know that the forecast can change at any moment though. I don't really want to break out that custom top again.

OK I'm committed. (My wife says I should have been committed a long time ago.) My registration is paid. Maybe we can have that TR7/TR8 drive we were planning on last year. We don't have to go to Wanker's Corner. Yes, UK guys and girls, there is a wanker's corner in Portland, US of A.[:D]

There is a suburb called "Humpty Do" in Australia......

Never forget the pub there, they had a caged area where the Abbo's were allowed to drink. Another part of the bar was 5' tall, yes 5 feet! that was for guys on a horse who wanted a drink.

Merv,

Glad you're going to make it. It would be great to do the Wedge drive. I just got back to Forest Grove from a drive to the beach with my 88 year old mother in the right seat and the top down!
