Engine swap to 'K' series?

They tried the plastic dowel on the defenders too, luckilly they stopped using plastic by the time mine was built!

I'd go for a Ford Duratec, more powerfull, bomb proof and is even produced in RWD format(Transit since 2006).

Have a look at this on ebay, Tr7 214 BHP 2.0L K series 16 valve turbo,
item number 220655886223 this should answer a lot of questions.

Had me going for a minute then with the ebay reference.

That car has a T16 engine which is a common transplant choice for the venerable MG Maestro. Whilst powerful it is also quite heavy and doesn't combine the light weight and power combination I would want from a 'K'.

take the Rover 220 Engine the M Turbo with the Sherpa Gearbox-Bell to LT 77 is a strait conversion... and it seem's this engine run a lot Km ..
