Time Warp Seat (another needed!)

Postby Steve-LPS-Thomas » 11 Apr 2010 19:02

It's over 2 weeks since my goodies arrived from the Rimmer Bros SALE and I have finally found time to unpack the box. Several forumites pointed out to me that the sale items included l/h biege nylocord seat covers. I was a bit confused as I didn't expect seat covers to be "handed". When I phoned to order it turned out that the listing referred to a "one only" item, a l/h complete seat (with slight damage) Decided to "risk it for a biscuit" (clever huh?) as it was cheap enough.

Just unpacked it and the only damage is a one centermetre tear in the vynl on the back where nobody would notice it anyway.. result!
It will be sometime before the seat is needed so as yet I don't know if it will be used "as is" or dissembled for it's covers and foam. I will post a pic soon but I have left my camera at work.

Can anyone please help locate another set of vgc beige (biscuit) covers? I suspect that these are much more likely to be found in the US.

Regards Steve

I received my Rimmers package last week and I too only unpacked today as it was raining this morning. I had ordered the slit seat and it was stated as backordered (the factory has more than one split on assembly?) but gave them instructions to cancel if it was over a week. It was cancelled. Everything else was there but the "assemblies" were shipped as individual parts. which made the order sheet 6 sheets. Two items were backordered. They even included a subsequent order (for Ron "Orangerag") I sent in by email just after the 28th at sale prices. How's that for service. Most of the stuff is for Yellow TCT which I won't need for a while but some of the sale prices were too good to pass.

I have always been happy with Rimmers service. Always quick and accurate, although they have made a couple of minor errors (omissions) on my last couple of orders.
It's a good thing your order was shipped before the airlines got dusted in.
