Intersting, ugly & if I were to be pedantic (as I was born to be) it isn't a targa top.

Good find.

Not seen the pics before but agree with Peter, not a targa roof but more like pics of a 2+2 conversion, of which there were a few.

Am I imagining it or was there a factory 2+2 prototype built? IIRC it was mentioned on here sometime ago?

Those pictures are of a car built in the mid 80s in the Midlands. It was painted sky blue with tan check.

The owner of this company built it.

He still owns a yellow 77FHC V8 and a dismantled convertible.

The Targa I have seen photos of here on this forum was a coupe that had the top cut right at the window opening. It had a fitted vinyl top. That was two years ago.

henk you def show the targa roof, first pics to me look like the idea was stolen from a 2cv..... the twin headlight look..... dont think so. in the dark anyone your following will think your in an mr2, at least with standard tr7 headlights they will know its a tr7..... usually because only one will be raised[:D]

This is a stroke of genious.. put two headlights in one unit then if only one comes up you still have two headlights!

Lol, I never had problems with the headlamps of my dhc but years ago i,ve had a Speke car with the lights go up and down separatly.
But i like the idea of twin lights so as with lotus.
