I have assumed that the maintenance issues we resolve have all taken almost 30 years to get critical. With this vain hope I am assuming that each car will peak on maintenance then reduce to something more affordable and regular.

I have been hoping that once I replace the main culprits like everything rubber and clean up the electrical contacts I will have minimal maintenance.

But then there are carbs, heads, starters, alternators....brakes and fuel system... Well here is hoping that it all slows down to regular, affordable maintenance one day.

Jolyon, I'm surprised at you, I expected you knew that the work
required, on any toy car, especially Triumphs, always expands to
consume any money that the owner may have, [that his lady does not
know about], [or her bloke doesn't know about, this is an equal
opportunity disease].

There is always a new carb, or a cool air breathing system, some
tail lights that are not faded, or a new cam, just ask Peter.

I've even heard there's some bloke, in NZ, who does them up, to
sell, just because he has them.

It certainly helps if you have another TR7 which you can take when you want to go for a ride.
But a few friends in the right places is just as important to get certain jobs done without breaking the bank [:)]
