Badge and decals

Postby Triumph TR7V8 coupé » 18 Jan 2010 10:31

Hello boys and girls

I’m planning to put a Triumph front panel badge (Enamel XKC3902) on the front panel when the car comes back from the body shop.
How is the badge fixed?
What are the correct distances for an original location?
What are the correct distances to put the ‘3.5 Litre and small Laurel leaf’ on the front wings?

Greetings J.

there is a accurate guide in the Tr drivers magazine not sure if it's on their website but if not i'll scan the article and put it up here, but i'm sure someone else will have that infomation at their fingertips

Hello,

Thanks for the nice pictures but I’m talking about the metal badge on the front, is this also located in the centre of the front panel?

As mentioned before, the TR Drivers club mag in 2008 /09 ran a series of articles giving the precise dimensions of where every badge should be fitted. They based it on measuring vehicles that had never been modified, so this is your best way of getting it right - alternatively simply put it where it looks best to you and enjoy your car :)

While I don't have the exact measurements right now (I'll go in the yard and check later if you want) here's a couple of pics where it always lived on my car since new (and never been resprayed either)

Oeps,

Forgot the copyright, sorry folks but no scan.
When the car is back from the work and paint shop and ready to put the badge in place I will explain on my blog how to do it aswell for the decal as for the badge.

Thanks for the warning,

Greetings, J.
