Which order to refit interior?

Postby macmattom » 30 Dec 2009 18:54

I was thinking of sound-proofing first, then carpets, followed by B-post panels, rear panel and then parcel shelf and finally the dashboard. Can anybody help, please?

Cheers,

Mac.

I'm in the same boat. Interior out and trying to decide what to do. Might have been better to decide what to do and then take the interior out. Unfortunately, unlike Beans, I have no plan. Rimmer has pretty much everything, carpet, seat covers, and hood. Their prices are better than VB but if you are in the US the shipping will probably even things out.

Actually, shipping is better from UK, right now.

I, too, will be pulling out an interior and installing a new one soon.

macmattom, I think your plan is a good one.

That order is pretty much OK

For the interior of my DHC I will keep to the following order;

Soundproofing;

Heater;

Wiring looms;

Carpets;

A post panels;

Dashboard supports and steering column;

Rear of interior;

Front interior trim and dashboard;

Armrest/cubby box and gear lever surround and hand brake lever after the engine is back in the car;

And finally the seats;

Keep an eye on my weblog the coming few months [:p]
