Brakes

Postby stevie_a » 04 Oct 2009 14:34

OK my car was converted to ford Capri 2.8 front brake calipers by the previous owner

I need to change the discs because they are warped

do I just buy a set of Capri discs and put them on

or is it more complicated than that ?????

I think only the vented discs from the Ford conversion are from a (2.8) Capri. Take one of the old disc with you when ordering. And make sure the spacers between hub and disc are in good condition and still fit properly.

B.t.w. calipers are from a Granada according to my local brake specialist, which is good a good thing as you can use pads from the Escort RS2000. But it seems you need the fitting kit from the Granada ...
