Nice spring day & opening weekend at the local strip. My winter mods worked great, especially the Quaife and rear suspension mods. MUCH better grip off the line and actually bogged on the second run. Unfortunately only got two runs as it was a short day test & tune with a few oil downs.[:(] Best was a 13.84 @ 99.87mph. I'm sure there is some more to be had if the driver can get some practice. [;)]

Couple of photos. I had to include one of this young guy with a riding lawn mower and a 4 cyl motorcycle engine! I can't believe they let him run it. They had him go out with the junior dragsters and said for him to only do 1/8mile. Still he managed to get it through the traps at 60mph!! Lawn mower tires on frt and golf cart wheels & tires out back. Talk about Darwins Theory.

Great time! Bet that plants you back in the seat!!! I take it there must be a big difference in the engines besides being AWD?<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">

Thanks. AWD + race slicks = some pretty violent launches (1.40 60' time). But like with everything else, you get used to it [;)]

Eventhough, I can easily atchieve similar power to weight ratio on my TR7 with 4g63 engine, I can't imagine 1.40 60' times with any tires, unless I turn it into a dedicated drag car, something that I want to avoid.

Yeah, that's a hard launch for sure. I used to drive my buddies 69 427 automatic Camaro. First time we went to a national at a "hooking" track, I felt like I got shot out of a canon! Neat feeling once you get used to it. No wonder all the older fuel drivers look like they need a face lift.[;)] Actually, I think Kenny Bernstein got one.[:)]

Better shot of the car leaving the line. This one was taken by the track photographer and posted on the track website. [:D]
