The blower is on the low left side of the heater and the wiring runs above the heater under the dashboard. Maybe you can try to remove the center speaker grill, that is where the wires run underneath.
If you need to replace the blower motor then you need to disasemble the whole heater and this means dashboard removal.

It's just the short harness I need to replace, not the blower itself. It runs from the fan speed switch to, erm, somewhere else, and has a little coiled wire on a plate at the other end. This id changed through the top speaker hole in the dash then, and I don't need to take the dash out to change it?
