that sucks , since ive got an Speke built car. one thousand and something small number like 20. and the car was painted several times , ive got the number samped on the turret but severely corroded, will probably have to get a new one stamped by the MOT guys , but there is a whole procedure( damn i hate bureaucracy ).

Remove the paint, maybe it will be clearer then.
The RH turret seems to be the place the VIN number was stamped for Continental cars. Had a look at one of my spare body shells ...

... but I have also seen them on the chassis member and cabin floor [:I]

There should be a VIN plate on one of the doors on a Speke built car. Should look like this ...

yup that's the one on the RH turret , but that small black plate is missing. probably lost in one of the many shabby repaints/bodywork repairs

just to visualize how shabby the shaft of the tool that i'm holding is in diameter 3mm

i wouldn't be surprised if that small black plate is buried in bondo
[:D][:D][:D][:D]

ive seen CFRP/aluminum honeycomb monocoque tubs , but this is bondo&paint reinforced steel , waaaay better [:D][:D]
