A bit more paint applied

Postby Mowog73 » 20 Oct 2008 11:54

Sunday was another nice, warm day so I took the opportunity to paint the back end of the 7 black, while my step-son sanded the headlight pods and prep'd them for priming.

My step-son has not done any spray painting before so I figued this was a good time for him to start learning with primer, and so I had him shoot the primer onto the pods. He was eager to try and did a good job. Yes, it's easy to shoot primer but it gave him a taste for painting and I'll probably get him to paint the pods in Mimosa as well.

Later in the afternoon we took the masking off the back end and the black looks some sharp against the Mimosa yellow.

No dream Paul, its a reality. I've been enlightened to the way of the TR and may banish the MG from the driveway.

There have been a number of nice TR7s come up for sale since summer. One could pick up a nice example for not much money.

That's a bit harsh, now. Isn't it?

I haven't banished mine but it has been sitting in the garage since I got the 8 back on the road. The power is addictive![;)]

Just a bit of good-hearted ribbing [8D] Paul stopped by the house today and actually got to see the car; quite a change from when he last saw it covered in surface rust. Maybe if I paint his BGT for him he'll take the saved money and get another TR7.
