Thank you Jim I'm really looking forward to that.

Chris, my son is almost 16, are you saying he could be insured on a TR7 much cheaper than a modern car? Makes me want to get another one, methinks.

Thanks guys[:)] Deb x

It depends on usuage really, the deals only really work if limited mileage policies are acceptable for you as an everyday car. But us at TR Yoof have a constantly updated list of insurance companies offering deals for 17-25 year olds on classic cars. Great thing about the 7 is that its young enough to qualify for "normal" insurance as well.

If he has a genuine interest get him along to some TR Yoof events, and join the facebook group. Very soon you wont have to worry - he'll fix the car for you [:D]

That's a brilliant idea Wayne, I just wish he was the least bit interested in cars (as I was at his age)

It really does depend what you want.

As I want to drive my TR7 and compete in rallies it's Club Triumph.

I am also not such a purist that TR7s are the only Triumph I am interested in so CT scores again.

Having said that, if you want a good local social scene then as Gordon says, it depends where you are in the country.

I have been in the TR Register but only for one year - I didn't find anything particularly interesting.

TRDC - don't know but I would think if you want a pure TR7 experience and shows etc then that would be the club to go for.

One other thought - why not check out their internet forums as a way of getting the feel of the clubs.

I am sure someone else will correct me if I am wrong but this one is the rpeferred TRDC forum.

Club Triumph's is at http://club.triumph.org.uk/cgi-bin/forum10/Blah.pl/

The TR Register's is at http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/ind ... owforum=17

I would totally second what Raider said about Club Triumph. If you want to have some serious fun with your car they are a good club and most certainly don't turn their noses up at TR7s (or even <s>Honda</s> Triumph Acclaims!)
