BOOT LAMP TRIP BRACKET

HI GUYS, I WAS READING UP ON THE BOOT LAMP TRIP BRACKET, AND IT SAID THEY WERE FITTED TO THE LATER MODELS, MINE IS A 1979, YET THERE IS THE BRACKET ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE BOOT HINDGE, ALBEIT NOT CONNECTED, JUST WONDERED HOW ITS PUT TOGTHER WITH REGARDS TO THE WIRING IN THE BOOT.

ANY HELP AS ALWAYS GREATLY RECEIVED

There's a wire from the front of the car going to the switch, from there it goes to the lamp.

People disconnect them because they get stuck and the lamp stays on. Once you have your battery flattened you don't care much about the boot light!
