It could be anything really from a faulty starter or relay or high resistance in the circuit to a bad battery. I would start at the easiest point and work out. If you have a good starter relay replace the old one and see what happens. Next I would go through and clean all the terminals in the circuit, the relay connections, battery, grounds, and the starter connections. Last but not least if your heading out for errands take the battery with you and drop in at most any parts places and they'll check out the battery for free. If they all check out I think your looking at a starter issue.
