I am after some expertise and couldn't think of a better place to start. I am a TR7 virgin but just had to go all the way [}:)]. I have completely stripped my FHC right back to a rolling shell and just had it resprayed. There are no doors, bonnet, boot, windows, the dash is completely out, the heater is out, brake pipes removed, sunroof has been restored and is waiting to go back in but I don't know where to start. The only thing I think I will do is wait until all the remainder of the car is rebuilt before I put the doors on so they hang correctly and close as intended.
I intend to replace all the front suspension/subframe etc but the rear axle and fuel tank have been out, renovated/cleaned/undersealed and won't be coming back off (never say never [B)]!) However, can anybody please advise me on the best order to rebuild my treasure [:D]. I would probably start with the front brake pipes, followed by the brake servo and clutch master cylinder. My intention is to build the front subframe and suspension up and assemble the engine onto this, then lift the nose of the car and roll the assembly back before lowering the car down and fitting the rad. Am I over-complicating or over-simplifying the task[?]
I would really appreciate any help you experts can give me, and also any idea how many man-hours I might be looking at (time is of the essence). Where are the pitfalls, what traps await me and where will I get bitten[?]
Thank you for any help, and really sorry for the long post, but I don't want to put the dashboard back in more than once!!!
