Hi can someone help, what pcd and offset (ET) is required to fit 7" Minilite style alloys to a TR7, what is the recommeneded tyre size 195/55/13 ?

1) will keep the gearing close to the original 185/70x13
2) is an approved width for 7" - 195 is borderline
3) is an available size (is 195/55x13 available?)
4) is wider than 195 :-)

Dunno ... [8)] Have 195/55x15 and 205/50x15 tyres respectively on both my cars and they both very slightly touch, but on the back of the RH side rear arch only. Rims are 7" wide with original ET of 25mm.

An ET of 10mm will put your wheels 15 mm further out. As for the wheel geometry at the back that won't do any harm. But at the front this will certainly change the suspension geometry and thus the handling characteristics of the car. How much depends on cars setup and your driving style.

ET10 is what I am using and I only got slight rubbing at the rear with unmodified arches and unmodified axle. With the lip 'adjusted' there is no rubbing. Don't forget that if a 6 inch rim has ET25 (and just fits without rubbing) and you want to go to 7 inches, an ET25 will push the tyre 12.5mm into the rubbing area - you have to go to ET12.5 to keep the outer edge in the same place. I do not agree it is 37,5mm ET, to keep the outer edge in the same place!

The should read "will put the wheels centre line 15mm further out"
B.t.w. I don't doubt that it works on your car, it just won't on mine.

And of course tyre choice (the actual tyre width) is very important here. The 205/50 Yokohama's are actually slightly narrower when measured over the tyre wall then the 195/55 Dunlops ...

Very peculiar, I can't understand how there can be such a discrepancy. Perhaps someone machined my wheels? If so, erring on the side of caution would be to go with Beans' offset.

That could be a possibility.
My Revolutions were delivered with the wrong ET (20 instead of 25)when I bought them. Turned out to be easier and cheaper to have 5 mm machined of.
Just measure one of the rims next time you need new tyres if you want to be sure.

Also bear in mind that the tolerances on the bodyshells are pretty large compared to modern standards.

If anybody is interested I have a set of 13 x 7J Minilites I'm about to put on Ebay. I was told they would fit standard arches, and the front ones fitted with 215 Goodrich's do, look great and don't rub. But the rear ones fitted with 235 x 55 BF Goodrich tyres do on full suspension travel. Even with 205 width tyres they would as the rims appear to be flush with the body so extended arches would probably be required at the rear. The T dimension is 90mm and the equivalent front is 110mm.
