The surprising thing is, that these things do work, to some extent.
About 12 years ago, an acquaintance of mine aquired the Oz rights to
a ceramic fuel line magnet thing. He asked me if we would run a test
for him, on all the company vehicles. It was no cost to us, & no
effort either, as our Shell acount gave us fuel consumption &
monthly milage figures, for each vehical, & we had records from when
we bought each car.
On all the petrol things we showed about 6% better fuel milage, with
the things fitted, than before. There was no measurable change, up
or down, in the diesel powered vehicals. None of us could detect any
increase in horse power.
That knocked it on the head for him, as his interest was for the
heavy transport industry.
Patrick, that bloke was no gentleman. He was trying to rip you off,
big time. The thing was imported from the US, & sold for A$16 then,
here. Even allowing for inflation, they could not be worth more than
$25 today, if you really want one.
