Postby john 215 » 31 Aug 2008 17:42

Hi,
This months Classic Monthly has some good TR7 articles in it, A TR8 DHC that a gent in Spain does some rallying in [:0] got a 3.9 EFI in it with 4.6 badges on the wings!!
There is an update on Bert Smeets awesome Lemans TR8 Turbo.
To top it all a chance to win there TR7 FHC, a stunning green car which has even been signed by Harris Mann [8D]
On the subjects of mags, this months Triumph World has an article on the TR7 they are restoring starting to replace the wings may be of some help for anyone planning to do so so over the winter.
Cheers John

Just went to the magasine store today...got the new TRiumph world with the bodywork starting on the TR7 and also got the new Retro cars. I looked at Classics Monthly that was on the shelf looking for an update on the Lemans car, I didn't see anything in the magasine. What month was the one with the Lemans update.

Here in Vancouver I expect to see the new issue on the stands next weekend.

Patiently waiting...

BTW: I'm surprised to hear that Triumph World is doing an series on the 7. Did someone let it slip that they were made by Triumph?

That's odd !

I picked up a 1996 copy of Triumphworld at an autojumble stall at the annual Wheels at the Vaal show (mine was the only TR7 there and oen of only 3 Trimuphs that I saw - a Stag, TR4A and me).

The magazine had an article on tuning the TR7 in it (which is why I picked it up). Also a tuned Herald 1200 !, a warmed up Spitfire and a Dove TR4 hatchback conversion.

A good deal for the princely sum of R5 (thats about 40p or 70c US)

Still standing !
