LT77 selector shaft oil seal.

Postby mak » 19 Apr 2008 17:29

Another not so exciting question. I've got a leak from the o ring at the top of the gear box where the selecter shaft (I hope this is the right terminology and i'm not describing something completely different.) goes into the casing. My local garage reckons that if they mend it, then it will just start leaking again. Anyone know anything about this - i'm tempted to take the back plate off and machine in a proper oil seal - any thoughts?!

I changed that seal ones when I rebuilt my gearbox.
Driven 20.000 km since and no leaks yet ...

Just make sure you get the correct "O" ring.
