pop up head lamps

Postby higgie » 09 Apr 2008 11:11

Dear All,
I have just started to rebuild my TR and notice that when i have fitted the pop ups pods they do not sit correct into the body.
They seem to be diff height positions square to the body.
I do not mean the angle at which they sit as i can adjust this but the height in relation to the nose cone at the back of the cowl.
Can anyone help please.
Higgie

Higgie, you can adjust the position of the light pods relative to the front panel in two ways.

Up & down height adjustment is made by loosening the 4 nuts behind the light in the engine bay, this then allows you to move the whole light assembly up or down to get it flush with the front panel.

From underneath the car, you can also loosen the 4 bolts that fasten the lamp pod to the lift mechanism, this provides adjustment to centre the pods in the aperture making sure that they clear the front panel when raising/lowering.

Is this what you mean?
