Wayne S,

The Road run is again planned for Sturday afternoon, I am looking forward to going myself.

Simon has done an excellent route this time, which includes some roads with high trees both side and under the M1 so you can hear the V8 sound.

Planning to leave Maidstone about 07:00 on Sunday morning. ETA Billing 07:10 !! (Only kidding)
Should make Billing in a couple of hours.
Got to leave again about 15:00, as i have a wedding reception to attend.

I feel a bit sorry for all members overseas who cannot make it. It is a good event.

I have a RHD PAS rack I may bring to sell. I bought it a couple of years ago but will not fit my TR as I have had to dish the sump (crank throw).

Then again, I may chuck it on Fleebay!!

If anyone is going from Norfolk/Suffolk/Cambs would be good to meet up on the way, Brampton hut or Thrapston services?

This year the TRDC National will have a TR7/TR8/TR7 V8 day at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton on 6th July.
Please accept this as a sincere invitation from the TR Drivers Club to attend this event - All TR7/8/V8 owners from all clubs are invited.
No stuffy concours will be running, but there will still be trophies and spot prizes up for grabs. To make things even more interesting some very special sporting vehicles are attending making up a display of cars not to be missed.
Billing will charge a day rate of £10 to enter the park if you mention the TR Drivers Event.

I have just noticed Stevies post about Billy not coming to the national weekend, this is bad news. The Scottish lads help make it a great weekend, they are an asset to the club. Hope you make it Billy, it will be good to see Stevie again.

We'll definitely be there - just booked today. Gonna be leaving Derby Friday teatime, and coming back Sunday. If you see a red Zafira and a Grey Astra in a sort-of nanoconvoy, drive past photogenically [8D]

Better clean the old girl if we are going to be seen out in public !!

Put her away last October dirty. Chucked a bucket over her b/4 MOT, but that is all.

Is there a class for the most un-looked after motor this year ?
I think I may stand a chance.

Just a though for those camping - apparently Billing is in an area where they are still boiling water due to the cryptosporidium problem.

Here's the link if you want to check before you come down: http://commercial.geodesys.com/boilcheck/

Billing's postcode is NN3 9DA.

Due to the awkwardness of boiling water, we've decided to bring plenty of good old Essex tap water with us. Although it's looking like we'll be able to gather plenty of fresh water from the sky!
