Ive never been John, I dont think the club have a stand because none of our organisers live near to it. We need someone in London who could organise a stand for us.

It's a kind of interesting place to go!

First two times I went I never even got in as the car parks were full and I ended up turning round and coming home again. Third time was "lucky" and I did get in albeit with a long hike UP the hill to the hall from where I was parked. Not much point in taking the classics as everything is parked together and they park the cars very close together! Would consider public transport instead but it's not easy to get there that way from Bedford and the same will apply from Luton for you, I guess.

The show was OK although the halls are much much smaller than the NEC (no comparison really) and everything was really tightly packed in. I understand that the TR Register have a special display this year but don't know the details. Not decided for sure if I will go this time or not.

I really like this exhibition.Yes its smaller than the NEC,which is
no bad thing. The trick is to get there early so you can park, but like
Gordon says, not a good place to park a wedge amongst the plebs euro-
boxes.I am going with Rob on Sunday, hope to see some of ya there.

See ya. Paul

Had a great time at Ally Pally today, three of us went up from Kent, we arrived at 09:55 and got straight in. Hopefully Greg (Colonel Bogey) will share some of his photos. The TR-Register stand was well represented, among their cars was the most gorgeous metallic blue TR4a, for me it was best in show. Among the exhibits we found a 1965 Datsun Fairlady 1500cc sports car, absolutely fabulous car that should have been competing with British cars in the 60's but the company lacked the confidence to ship it in.

Hi,
Good photo's gents, love that Lambo not sure of the colour certain cars should only be red [^] Did Simon manage to sell the FHC [?] The Datsun has that MG Midget look about it no doubt without the oil leaks [;)]
Cheers John

Didn't have anything better to do so went down Sunday morning. Arrived at about 10:30 to find half the car parking was now a Farmers' Market which was a bit worrying initially but even then got parked easily. My guess is that there were far fewer attendees than previously. Show was interesting and they had certainly spread the stalls out a bit which made moving round both easier and a much more pleasant experience. Plenty of interesting cars to see, including quite a feww Triumphs and one very smart Bond Bug. Not seen one of those in that sort of conditon for a very long time! Spoke the the Robsport guts shortly before we left at around 13:00 and the car was still for sale then.

A reasonable way to waste a morning but expensive at £12 a head compared to shows like Stoneleigh.

Have to agree with Gordon,it was'nt as packed as past years, less
cars shown, but some good ones all the same.Martin at the Robsport
stand said the rally rep.was possibly sold, but the prospective
buyer was to make good of the deal sometime this week.
Gary, the Datsun is a cheeky little charmer indeed, here is another
that was on show -
