Here's the latest set of instructions for reserving a room at the hotel...

A] Telephone the hotel direct on 01789 740000 between 9:30am and 6:00pm [9:00am\5:30pm Fridays]
B] Have the TRDC Booking Code Ready - 18867383
C] Select OPTION ONE \ Conferences. Ask for Rebecca or Jessica.
DO NOT USE OPTION TWO \ Bedroom Booking

Please Note, On Saturday evening we will have guest speakers in our own private room.
There will be a £15:00 charge per person to cover the Saturday Evening Buffet.
This will be sorted out at the event itself, or if you are staying at the Hotel added to your check-out invoice.

I just want to say what a great initiative this is, and mindful of the huge effort it takes to deliver a successfull event, id like to congratulate the organisers.

Unfortunately i cannot attend due to a pre-arranged overseas holiday, but i have an embryonic idea for such an event in the north west, possibly centred at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland. If there is anyone in the nw who is interested in organising such an event please let me know.

We are looking at keeping the name of the bullet run for future events on a similar theme in different areas around the country so your idea will be something we can talk about after the first run to see how it goes. If anyone else has any ideas for a Bullet run in the future please pm me. We will of course help out with the organising.
Paul

Now that the latest edition of the TR Driver has given all TRDC members the chance of booking their spaces on the Bullet Run it's time to unveil the new web site dedicated to this event. As it is expected to become an annual fixture taking place around different areas of the UK (and possibly abroad) we thought it would be a good idea to establish the new site to run in collaboration with the main trdrivers.com. http://www.trdrivers.club is the address and you should find everything you need on there to book onto the run and a few other things besides.

Gordon Birtwistle will be joining us for the Saturday evening and we may arrange one or two more famous Triumph names to also come along. No one was more heavily involved with the TR7 and TR8 than Gordon as he was the High Speed Development Engineer. But he drove everything else before the Wedge from the Herald onwards so entirely appropriate that he should be our main guest speaker for a celebration focussing on Triumph's original test route into Wales - a route he never actually did himself but he drove the cars absolutely everywhere else.

Remember the new site - http://www.trdrivers.club

Hi John,

Great looking site if not the best laid out TR site I have seen, I hope it goes from strength to strenght.

Looking forward to this event 8)

Well done to all involved.

Hi John, and all,
I have just booked the run and hotel with the instructions (option1) with no problem at all.
Sadly I bought and rebuilt the car before joining TR Drivers Club and so no blog or photos, but have gained a lot of knowledge from those who have. In my defence I have been active in Southern Home Counties since last Summer and am really looking forward to the Bullet Run and meeting everyone there.

regards
Tim

We'll all enjoy meeting you and seeing your car Tim. The Bullet Run should be a very nice gathering in pleasant surroundings. Some of us have gone off camping in a field a bit so having an upmarket event like this on the club calendar hopefully means we are offering something for everyone or catering for all tastes.

Hello john

Very sadly i'll be sunning myself on the lovely island of Malta on these dates so cant be with you all unfortunately.

On that note, i have already made contact with some maltese tr7 owners(been going there for over 30 years and never seen a tr7!!!!) - is there any chance i could get some back issues of our club mag for them??

Regards

Brian

Jim Johnson has any back issues of the TR Driver stored away Brian so you'll have to drop him a line.
